How to get involved in our young actuary community

Young Actuaries Program (YAP)
YAP connects young professionals through engaging social activities (trivia nights, games), interactive workshops, and collaborative projects. The program creates spaces for forming lasting relationships, expanding networks, and helping shape the profession's future direction.

Young Actuaries Conference
The annual conference explores cutting-edge trends affecting the profession, from sustainability and AI to climate change and economic shifts. Accessible both in-person and online, this event fosters community building and meaningful dialogue among peers while supporting professional development.

Career Support Series
These targeted sessions help young actuaries develop essential soft skills, navigate evolving professional landscapes, and discover new opportunities in the field.

Innovation and Impact Programs
The Institute runs two key initiatives for positive change. The Innovation Challenge invites university teams to design creative insurance solutions for underserved communities. Meanwhile, the Actuarial Hackathon connects young professionals with leading not-for-profit organisations to solve real-world problems. Both programs help participants build valuable professional relationships while making a meaningful difference in society.
