Mission
The Asian Actuaries Association (AsAA) aims to develop international collaboration in the actuarial field. We are a non-political, non-governmental, non-religious and non-profit-making association. The Executive Board (EB) is the governing body of the AsAA. The Executive Board meets at least once every two years in conjunction with the Asian Actuarial Congress.
Objective
We aim to:
- Exchange ideas and information on all areas of actuarial knowledge.
- Discuss subjects of mutual interest related to actuarial theory and practice, focusing on the economic and regulatory conditions in Asia.
- Promote the actuarial profession within the Asian region.
- Discuss standards of competence and conduct within the actuarial profession.
- Work towards establishing a database of information relevant to actuaries.
- Hold meetings and discussions, publish papers, reports, sponsor investigations and promote educational activities.
- Hold a conference once every two years.
- Maintain contact with other actuarial non-actuarial professional organisations and individuals.

Our history
Since 1981, the Asian Actuaries Association has reached almost 30,000 members and hosted 22 actuarial conferences.
Established in 1981, the Asian Actuaries Association was originally known as the "East Asian Actuarial Congress" (EAAC) and was renamed the "Asian Actuarial Congress'" (AAC) in 2014 to encompass all of Asia. In 2019, the Board decided to rename it the "Asian Actuaries Association" (AsAA) to provide clarity when referring to the group.
The AsAA convenes a conference called the "Asian Actuarial Conference" (AAC) at least once every two years. The purpose is to present and discuss papers on actuarial topics of current interest.
The Constitution of the EAAC was signed at the 8th EAAC in Tokyo.
The Institute of Actuaries of India joined the EAAC at the 12th EAAC in Manila.
The Constitution of the EAAC was amended, and the Actuaries Institute joined at the 14th EAAC in Tokyo.
